What if I told you
by Aldis Hyppolite

What if I told you birds can't fly backwards.
Would you go into the forest
to watch birds fly?

What if I told you we humans
have been around for only 200,000 years.
Would you ask Google?

What if I told you the wheel was invented
5000 years ago.
Would you wonder why it took them so long?

What if I told you your blood system is
60,000 miles long.
Would you be more careful?

What if I told you a certain fungus infects the central nervous systems of ants
which makes them wait for the full moon, climb trees, and fall to the ground
where the fungus are waiting.
Would you doubt me?

What if I told you
I care about you.
Would you believe me?
