I keep reading and rereading the narrative poem "The Ice under Me." It get spookier every time I read it. I think I get it, but then I read it again and then I'm not sure again. Is the idea that old man Bolan is down there under the ice looking up at the "real" world that lies beyond the ice (beyond the grave?)?
